Darrell Wheelock, Senior Designer

Mr. Wheelock has more than 33 years of experience in mechanical design and drafting in the forest products industry, with much of his experience related to sawmill modernization projects and specialized equipment design. In addition, he has experience in the design of balers for recycling newsprint, as well as various design experiences in the food processing industry.

He has been involved in all aspects of project engineering, including preliminary (concept) design, feasibility studies, capital cost estimating, project scheduling, as well as detailed design and project management, including on-site assistance during construction and equipment installation.

Mr. Wheelock has significant experience working with independent sawmilling companies in the Pacific Northwest managing all aspects of several equipment replacement and mill modernization projects. He has specific experience with sawmill, planing mill and log handling system projects.

His prior employment experience includes 10 years as a Project Manager for Dubal, Beck & Associates and five years of experience as a Project Engineer and Draftsman with Lumber Systems Inc., a manufacturer of lumber handling systems.
