Mario Angel, a Chilean native, has more than fifteen years of experience in the forest products industry. Since joining The Beck Group, he has had important roles in all BECK's benchmarking studies, managing the Southern Pine lumber, Hardwood lumber and Lumber Sales studies. Mario is usually involved in sawmill optimation benefit analysis, planning projects, marketing and market research and industry studies. Mario has assisted American companies doing business in Latin America, as well as helped Latin American companies looking for opportunities to enter in the US market.

Before joining The Beck Group, Mario was Program Manager at the World Forest Institute in Portland, OR. His responsibilities included managing the international program, developing projects and marketing the insitute's products and services. Prior to this position, he worked as a Latin American specialist responding to inquiries about the forest industry in South America and Mexico.

Mario has written reports relating to the forest industry in Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay. He has published several marketing related articles in a Chilean Forestry Industry magazine. He also has been a speaker at several conferences in the USA, Mexico, Chile and Brazil.
