LEGAL EXPERT WITNESS

For over 20 years, The Beck Group has been providing expert witness services to both the private and government sectors. Based upon The Beck Group’s expertise and varied experiences in the forest products industry, the cases for which the company has provided litigation support have included:

The Beck Group staff has worked with more than 300 forest products operations throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Russia, Central and South America, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. The wide variety of consulting assignments performed by Beck Staff members has allowed the company to gain broad industry experience and expertise. The company also completes many in-depth industry benchmarking studies for most wood products industry segments. This combination of industry experience and up to date actual industry performance information prepare Beck staff members for the completion of the tasks required by complex court cases involving timber and forest products related matters.

As a result of working on a variety of court cases (in terms of both size and type), BECK staff members have developed the expertise that legal work requires for completing necessary discovery, preparing expert witness reports, calculating damages and/or refuting damage claims prepared by the opposition, helping the legal team understand forest products related issues and terminology, preparing for and assisting in depositions – as well as testifying.

In addition, staff members have excellent communication capabilities (both written and oral), with the capacity to help a judge and/or jury understand complex matters through presentation of easy to understand charts, graphs and other visual aids and the use of layman terminology.
